"my passion for mushrooms began in childhood, as I was raised by my grandmother."

My name is Gian Marco, and I first became fascinated with the world of mushrooms as a child, having been raised by my grandmother. During autumn afternoons, our favorite activity was heading into the beautiful forests near our home in Tuscany to search for mushrooms.

What started as a simple childhood pastime quickly became something much deeper. I never imagined that this passion would shape my life so completely.

Later on, I discovered the most precious and famous mushroom in the world, the “king” of all fungi: the truffle. I first experienced it through tasting it in various dishes, and eventually I obtained my official truffle hunting license in my region. As a high school graduation gift, I asked my mother for my very first truffle dog, a Lagotto Romagnolo named Jola. She is still with me today at 15 years old, the wise old lady of the house, together with the rest of the team, which has grown over the years.

After finishing my university studies, which I chose to complete, I returned to where everything had started — the forest, the place I still walk with my dogs today, and where I feel most deeply connected to life.

I chose to turn my passion for truffle hunting into a fully organized professional venture, aiming to deliver the finest Italian truffles to the kitchens of the world’s leading restaurants.
